Ben 10 goes High Fashion
Turner CN Enterprises continues to support its flagship action-adventure brand Ben 10 with a deal with mid-tier and highend fashion groups for branded apparel, footwear and accessories for boys and girls. A two-year deal with Benetton Group will launch Ben 10 Universe product in United Colors of Benetton stores worldwide (excluding Korea and Myanmar), as well as online. The apparel launch includes jackets, sweatshirts, underwear, shoes, slippers and backpacks. Ben 10 will also move into luxury ranges for children with a t-shirt range for boys from fashion house D&G. Beanstalk Jumps into Top App
brand licensing agency beanstalk is partnering with game developer Lima Sky for exclusive representation of its app “Doodle Jump” in the U.K. beanstalk will support the property’s expansion into licensed products in categories including apparel, accessories and publishing. current licensees already on board are master toy partners Innovation First Labs and Gund. Lima Sky will continue to oversee licensing for the brand in the U.S.
Force and Ben 10 Ultimate Alien brands, will hit retail in fall/winter this year and next. The new range will be available in Dolce&Gabbana boutiques, selected D&G retailers and high-end department stores worldwide.
Disney Preps Monster range
In the build-up to the 2013 Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University film releases from Disney/Pixar, master toy licensee Spin Master has created a toy range. the range includes a 12-inch Peek-a-boo boo doll and huggable boo plush, each which recite clips from the original film. Also in the range is a 2-inch collectible pack. Disney/Pixar will also introduce a whole new cast of characters with the release of the films, as well.
Warner Bros. Consumer Products EMEA will partner with apparel retailer TV Mania for a clothing line based on the classic Superman property. The collection will include a line inspired by the forthcoming 2013 film, Man of Steel. The collection will hit retail across the EMEA beginning next spring/summer and target adults, teens, children and babies. It will receive shelf space in diverse retail channel levels, from mass market to high-end. “[TV Mania is] a market leader in their field and have a proven track record of taking classic entertainment power brands like Superman and adapting them to fit current fashion trends for all ages and all demographics,” says Bruno Schwobthaler, senior vice president, sales and business development, WBCP EMEA.
